How to help!
Right now I am working with a grant from the Brookville Area School District that has purchased the majority of the lockers and supplies that are in our community right now. We also did a fundraiser over the summer to purchase another locker as well as the marketing materials to get the word out to students and teens in need. In the future we have plans for collection boxes and collection drives, and to be able to take monetary donations. Our goal right now is to get all of these lockers into the community and into the hands of people who need help.
Future Plans: Collection Box (Brookville Community): Do you have a high traffic location? We will come and set up a collection box to keep at your site for a specified period of time. What do you need to do? Get the word out! Let your visitors of patrons know that you are doing a drive to collect essential personal care items for the kids in your community. We will give you all of the information in the form of an email, flyers, or social media post. We will come set up the collection box for you and stop by to collect items during and after the collection period.
Collection Drive (Brookville Community): Allow us to hold a collection drive at your location. We can work together to pick a date and time that suits you. We will collaborate on getting the word out via social media, flyers, newspapers, or email. If you can lend us a few helping hands, that would be great. If not, we will organize and mobilize. You can have limited involvement by just providing us a few hours at your location, or you can be as involved as you want!
Make a donation: Hold that thought! Monetary donations are not set up but we hope to partner with a community non-profit who can accept these donations and help us turn it into more supplies! Donations will go directly to buying more helper lockers to have at all the schools in our area as well as community centers and churches. Money will also be used to buy collection boxes and marketing materials to help us get the word out for boxes and drives.
